Today I discovered how much free sheet music is available on the web. Extraordinary really, though I shouldn't be surprised, the web itself being so extraordinary. My favorite site is hosted by music teacher Gilbert DeBenedetti: Free Piano Music! because it's arranged by difficulty and each piece also has audio.
Also today I made contact with Phillip Van, who gave us permission to use his wonderful film High Maintenance in the next issue of the review with an interview by Julie Mae Madsen, our Video Arts editor. This should be hot stuff.
I printed out the 40 pages of Baumholder to read carefully, checking voice, tone, cadences, make sure I'm in the ballpark where I want to play. I also had a thought-invasion, a nice twist on my "facts" that I may incorporate into the story. We'll see how it settles with me.
Looking forward to a productive Saturday. Of course, I won't miss the Super Bowl, two class coaches on the field, and I'll be rooting for the Colts but mostly want a competitive well-played game.
