How in hell does a guy, Paul deLay, not get diagnosed with leukemia until the moment before his organs shut down? Because he hasn't been being checked by a doctor. Why? Because he has no health insurance and has to pay for it himself. Why? Because he's a blues musician, in business for himself, not a corporate worker.
I have no idea what Paul's insurance situation was but I suspect little, poor or none since he'd have had to pay for it himself. How else does leukemia not get diagnosed? Shocking, and it makes me angry.
