There's no high quite like seeing and feeling good about the fruits of your labor -- and that's just how I felt when the proofs of 3 DVDs were delivered this morning. To see the work I've done with the 7 actors of Small Screen Video packaged so professionally, my spirits soared.
Then the mail proper brought a real downer than I won't relate here, news of rejection about something else that, while not completely surprising, is nonetheless something that made me want to shout, Wait! there's been some mistake! I should know better but I don't. I am upset at myself for being upset more than at the news itself.
And I'd like to capture the earlier high of the day, and perhaps it's a measure of my artistic maturity, or lack thereof, if I succeed. Actually I think I will. From lots of practice ha ha -- and especially from the ha ha.
