High school football

CBS Sports has been televising a high school game of the week, and a week or two ago it was Jesuit v. Lake Oswego right here in Portland. Alas, I don't get the cable channel so missed it. However, this weekend DTV is having a sneak preview of all its sports channels, and I found a replay of the game, which I watched this afternoon. Terrific game, 36-33, with lead changes in the 4th Q and the winning TD score with 17 seconds left. Best, no arrogant jerks in evidence, no dancing and showing off, no pounding the chest after a routine tackle, no monstrous egos in view. Two good together teams playing like a team. And stands full of kids going crazy, and no one can go crazy like high school kids. Fun to watch, and a good afternoon escape.
