After looking at my Cold War material, what I have, what I like, what is missing, I've decided to start over and write this story AS A SCREENPLAY, not to market it especially (we'll see how it goes) but to put down a rock solid story, which any screenplay must have. Also, it's less writing. All the rhetoric -- and this is the strength of what I have -- can be added later. I'm writing a splay as the first draft of a novel, which is the advice I give my novel-writing students who end up in my class. I'm taking my own advice ha ha.
So I'll start structuring the story this afternoon. When I get a workable splay draft, I'll go back to the novel.
