I stopped by the local branch of the library and my favorite librarian was working. We chatted and the subject of the election came up. He told me a joke and a story.
The joke is, McCain has one foot in the grave and one foot on a banana peel named Sarah Palin.
The story is that on his way to work this morning, he saw his neighbor, "as staunch a Republican as you'll ever find," putting an Obama sign up in his yard. The librarian was blown away -- and then hopeful.
