Opera!

10 on the HD Met season! and I plan to see them all, plus the 4 or 5 here on the Portland season, it's going to be a great year for opera! Frankly, I prefer the HD showings because, though not "live," they are more "intimate." Isn't that interesting? A big screen is more intimate than the live stage from a large distance. Or so it seems to me. I think my wife would disagree, however, so it's a matter of taste.

At any rate, the email of the season came today, and I'm buying my ticket(s) to the first, Salome on Oct. 11, tomorrow. Excited!
