... the more I realize what bothers me about this election and the direction of the country in recent decades is the slow but sure deterioration of the separation of church and state. Even Obama, to my disappointment, has felt compelled to put his personal religious beliefs front and center.
Obama also has been a professor of Constitutional Law. It is time for him to remind the country about what the Constitution actually says about the separation of church and state and that presidents are sworn to uphold this.
And to think that JFK had to convince the electorate that his religion wouldn't get in the way of his governing!
