Before this difficult 9-game trip began -- 3 games each against the Dodgers, Yankees and Red Sox! -- 3-6 would have been getting through it and 4-5 something of a morale booster. Well, with back to back wins against the Yankees and Red Sox tonight, the M's are 4-3 with 2 games to go. Split the remaining two with Boston and they WIN on the road trip. They are playing damn good competitive ball lately.
