The art of dentistry

I have a first rate dentist. He's semi-retired and not all that easy to see but whenever I do see him, often after a frustrating wait, I marvel at his skill and realize it's worth the wait. He's been my wife's dentist for 30 years, mine for almost half that.

Consequently, everything went smoothly today -- and I have a temporary bridge, which he called "a flipper" (never heard the term), until I see him again in six weeks after the gum healing from the two teeth (stubs) he pulled. The flipper even looks better than my old bridge.

He ordered me to rest all day, so I am. Easily persuaded.
