Double yolk

I decided to make my own breakfast and get an earlier start today. I also decided to finish up editing the First Wednesday clips before I do anything else since I take some more this week. I cracked an egg and got a double yolk. Haven't seen one of those in years! And it brought back memories ...

In the 60s or early 70s, when my god sons in Idaho were not yet teenagers, my brother and I took them camping for a week to give parental relief to their parents, my soul brother Dick and his wife. I'd bought groceries at a small country store and on our first morning cracked a double yolk egg. The kids had never seen one and didn't believe me. They thought it was a magic trick, I had thrown away the other shell. I didn't convince them, and they went on their way. Then I cracked a second double yolk egg. Same routine. They wanted to see a third, and I explained this was a very rare event. They insisted, so I cracked another egg. Double yolk! In fact, the entire dozen eggs were double yolks! Remarkable. And unforgettable.

I bet it's been ten, fifteen years, maybe more, since I've seen one.

Time to edit.
