Energized by reading

Last night I read the first three chapters of Baumholder, 1961, my Cold War novel in progress, and very much like what I have. At the same time, the story is muddled despite considerable "what happens next?" energy and set up in the opening chapters. But this definitely is something to continue and finish. Lots of hard work ahead, and I suspect the mainstream marketplace has no interest in a book like this, but it rings with the truth of experience, has good bawdy male energy in it (also not a good commercial point; most readers are women today), is becoming what I envisioned it to be. Glad I returned to it, and I'm moving it to one of my front burners. I want to finish a draft as soon as I can but first things first, I need to know where the story is going. Lots of brooding to do.

More sales of Kerouac's Scroll over at CreateSpace. Interesting. Nothing happening with it at Lulu at all. The power of Amazon (CS is an Amazon company), I suppose.
