Expanding the chamber opera

John, who is finishing up the chamber opera based on my libretto, The Love of Long Ago, which is based on a Maupassant story, has requested two more short libretti to "make an Evening" of music. So I'm returning to Maupassant to see what else I can find. Gutenberg has his complete stories online, all 13 volumes, so obviously there's more there than I need. I'll start snooping around.
