How quickly we become spoiled. I'm not sure I could function without a flash drive in my pocket. It's what allows me to bring my home computer to my office computer at the university. Indeed, I so much like my SanDisk 1G Cruzer flash drive that I upgraded and bought myself the 4G model on sale. Better to transfer the video files I generate now.
The drive incorporates U3 technology, which permits me to install and run software on it. I have a text editor. And the wonderful Foxit PDF reader I have on my home computer as well, which lets one annotate PDF files, perfect for reading student scripts.
Great time-savers in this new high tech world.
