Bad luck, bad choices

Someone dear to me, young 50s, self-employed, a musician gifted in his craft, has developed such serious health problems (drinking a partial cause) that he's losing his business and may have to declare bankruptcy. A damn shame. He can survive the financial stuff and I worry mainly about his health. In fact, I drank gallons more booze than he in my wilder days but apparently have better genetic equipment to handle it. Genetics is luck of the draw.
