The summer rhythm

Today I can begin to ease into the summer rhythm. I still have editing chores to do, and scripts to grade, but I can begin to flirt with the summer projects a little. I'm going to read five or six scripts a day for the next four days, rather than do a marathon with them. I also have a very challenging piano piece this week, a 16th note extravaganza, Arkansas Traveler, but this will be fun because I like the song. Usually I dislike the songs we play.

HC's so-called concession speech is on in a couple hours. Curious if she hedges her bets. Can she give a speech that isn't about her?

And later the last of the Triple Crown races, which I hope escapes tragedy. Breeders are ruining the sport.
