A mellow day

Today was a slow, relaxing, dabble-here-and-there kind of day, enjoying the rare heat of the day, not getting much of anything done but somehow always doing something. Tomorrow I need to get some results from doing something. Especially yard work because rains, of course, are soon returning.

I've decided to study counterpoint. My piano teacher suggested it, and my own snooping around the field for what I need to know suggests this is a good place to begin. So I ordered the classic text. If last summer was my "digital summer," shooting 8 videos, this will be my musical summer, studying but also seeing if I can compose anything remotely interesting.

The Mariners won tonight. Something else rare about the day.
