Literary humor

Today In Literature has a wonderful story today: Saul Bellow's Human Comedy.

I'm overdue for a rereading of my two favorite Bellow books, Seize the Day and Henderson the Rain King.

As a matter of fact, I should make another resolution: read nothing I haven't already read until I've RE-read everything I want to reread. And then, when I do venture into "new" reading, get into that pile of ambitious books, like Chapman's two volumes of Homer and Kazantzakis' sequel to the Odyssey. Those alone could keep me busy several years. It's not like I'm confident I have "all the time in the world."
