My dog, the existentialist
Playing tug-of-war with Sketch a moment ago, I suddenly realized that here was the perfect illustration of Camus' famous existential essay "The Myth of Sisyphus," about which I wrote earlier. When he wins, as he always does, instead of running off with the toy in victory, he leaps forward to deposit the toy in my lap so we can have another round of it. The struggle is its own reward! just as Camus says. Dog as existentialist. I love it.
