Mimi Alford Interview: JFK Intern Breaks Silence About Affair (VIDEO):
This is a brave, coherent woman. She was "outed" several years ago, which is why she's now telling her side, and I don't blame her. Her book is honest and introspective and perfectly believable. More than anything, her book documents a cultural reality of the time about the power structure of male-female relationships, which in some places hasn't changed all that much. It's easy to take pot shots at this woman but I applaud her bravery and her attitude. I read the book. It's moving.

I agree with you. It is simply human nature. I'm sure it isn't just the professors in the movies that have coed stories. I was never so successful as when I was in law school, and athlete, a coach (though personal and professional ethics saved me here) or other jobs where I had authority/control.
Gillo Pontecorvo (The Battle of Algiers) gives the best lesson I have found, in accepting without biased judgement...the nature of man and society.
btw, just noticed you are at Portland State. Bree Schaaf was at Portland state. She is on the track this minute in Calgary at www.fibt.com
