Open face

Made myself a very comforting breakfast, bringing back memories of my mother's comfort food for sick kids, a poached egg on toast and warm milk.

Two pieces of toast on a plate. Dampen with milk. Add a slice of fried scrapple to each slice. More milk to dampen. Add a fried egg on top of each slice of scrapple. The end.

It's the soft toast that makes it so comforting.
