Softball

Following the women's college world series, softball, and ignoring the male equivalent, NCAA world series (hardball). Why? Because the women's game is so much more fun! I mean, this is a GAME here, not a preview of a professional career. These young ladies enjoy themselves. Sometimes the dugout looks like a slumber party for all the dance routines and choreographed cheering. This is a reminder of what a game is.

In this context, there can be incredible competition and talent. Witness last night's 13 inning marathon, 1-0 finally as Baylor beat Missouri. A pitching duel to match any. I loved it.
