My old friend -- indeed, he played the lead in the first play I ever had produced, a one-act called "Above the Fire," which went on to place 3rd in a national competition and validated my new focus on writing for the stage -- Tom Strah, retired, has taken up painting. In a class, he was asked to copy a famous painting. He done well.

I'm impressed! Tom has long been a photographer, hence has a trained eye, and it will be exciting to see how he moves forward with this new focus. He sent me this mantra:
