Clinton Has Won the Popular Vote… in Bizarro Not Here Land

Hillary Clinton, who will not receive the Democratic Party nomination, is claiming that she has won the majority of the popular vote.

That’s true… if you do not count the votes of any people who voted against Clinton in Michigan, and if you do not count the votes of Iowa, or Maine, or Nebraska, or Nevada, or Idaho, or Washington, or the Texas caucuses. So Clinton’s claim is true, basically, if you are a codfish. If you include these states, Barack Obama wins the popular vote, and he is likely to expand on his popular vote lead with the final two votes in Montana and South Dakota.

Which doesn’t mean anything for the nomination, since that is won by delegates. Barack Obama has already picked up two more superdelegate endorsements this morning, and he needs just 44 more delegates to indisputably win the nomination.
