Bo Diddley

So much has changed since the 50s, unless you're of my generation it's hard to understand the "forbidden" excitement of the early rock and roll stars like Bo Diddley and Little Richard. DJs broke their records because they thought they were obscene -- and they sound so innocent today! Here's an area where things have changed dramatically.

Rock pioneer Bo Diddley dies at age 79
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) -- Bo Diddley, a founding father of rock 'n' roll whose distinctive "shave and a haircut, two bits" rhythm and innovative guitar effects inspired legions of other musicians, died Monday after months of ill health. He was 79.
