How many times, several dozen, have I watched From Here To Eternity? Add one for tonight. Still a powerful film, not a wasted scene in it, just beautifully put together, one of those rare films that's better than the novel on which it's based. I used to sing Reenlistment Blues a lot in the Army. The guys loved it.
