A compliment

"You made the right choice to become a writer." So wrote my high school friend Doug, a retired physicist. It's one of the nicest things ever said to me, especially since it's something I've thought about in my old age (after all, in my high school group we all thought we'd become physicists or mathematicians.). I hope it's true. I didn't seem to have much choice in the matter.
