Bad timing

My reading tonight at Blackbird was schedule as a celebration. It's still that, of course, a celebration of the authors of Round Bend Press, but unfortunately, while well enough to read, I also am sick enough to be glad when it's over so I can get home to bed. I'm sure adrenalin at the podium will energize me but I don't want to overdo it and relapse either -- I have a class to teach tomorrow. So tonight isn't as loose and celebratory in my own spirit as I had hoped it would be. Win a few, lose a few.
