Creative explosion

The gods are kind today. I got on a writing jag this afternoon and finished a draft of the play! A short two act. I should be able to rewrite it this week and meet that deadline I had in mind. Been a long time since I've drafted an entire act (act two, in this case) in the same day. Polishing is the most fun part.

Prof. Deemer-

Ha! I tracked you down. No, actually I talked to a woman about writing some scripts today and she said you'd turned the job down...she apparently caught me dropping your name on my resume.

Your blog kicks ass. I'm glad to have found it. I'm glad to hear you're doing so well. The banjo is like nothing else for killing time. Mine is the guitar.

Two things: I finally caved and started a writing company doing mostly copy and boring business shit. But, it's paying way better than shoveling rocks. Though that was more fun. Wondering if/when I get the website up if you wouldn't mind doing one of those "Andy Edwards is very good at ....blah, blah" things?

Also, I agree writing novels is where it's at. After PSU I wrote one and let it sit and just bought myself some time and finished another. It'd be a great honor if, after the polish, you'd take a look at it and tell me what you think.

I never had one of those mentor relationships like you'd see in a Hollywood stinker, but I have always been really grateful for your 2 years of instruction on the so-called craft. It led me in directions I never would have guessed and those classes are the only things from formal education that have ever paid any bills.

Long one, sorry. Take care.
