Moscow police officer Lee Newbill was shot and killed and Latah County sheriff’s deputy Brannon Jordan and a civilian were wounded during a shooting that began Saturday night and ended Sunday morning in Moscow.

Moscow Assistant Police Chief David Duke said the suspected shooter, who has not been identified, and another man were found dead at about 6 a.m. Sunday inside the First Presbyterian Church in Moscow.

First Presbyterian Church Pastor Norman Fowler identified the other man found inside the church as Paul Bauer, who worked as the church's sexton and lived in an apartment at the church.
