- after class today a student told me he'd studied creative writing three years at another college and learned more about the nuts and bolts of storytelling this first week than he had in all those other classes.
- spent some time this afternoon with a grad student with whom I'm doing a Writing & Conf. She is talented, focused, energetic and it's always a joy to hear her mind at work.
- good classroom, promising group of students thus far. To me early on, it looks like a great term!
