Local News | Surprise S.C. primary winner spent no money, had no website | Seattle Times Newspaper:

"COLUMBIA, S.C. — An unemployed veteran who raised no funds and had no campaign website shocked South Carolina's Democratic Party leadership Tuesday by capturing the nomination to face Republican Sen. Jim DeMint in November."

I'm reminded of the college student body president candidate who won on a platform of abolishing student government. It may have been at Stanford. He won but the administration stepped in and vetoed his victory.
