A grad student I'm mentoring, loads of talent, is getting rejections from various contests ... I remind her it's a crapshoot, to hang in. She may have opportunity to move to LA ... would help her odds for sure. If she can hang in, I think she can realize a career. Her talent there and, more important, her attitude and drive.
