Time for my periodic plug for
Michael Hollister's Hollywood trilogy:

I admire the hell out of the literary achievement here and recommend the novels --
Holywood,
Follywood, and
Hollyworld (what great titles!) -- highly. In fact, I wish they'd be bundled together as a Kindle ebook! That would open up these stories to a new audience.
