R.I.P.

They cut the tree down before 7 a.m. this morning, perhaps to avoid the wrath of neighbors. H said had she known, she would have raced into the street in her nightgown, screaming at them. They made a huge racket cutting it up into manageable logs. The tree was over 200 years old. It came down in a few minutes.
