Sandusky scandal: Washington Post suggests shutting down Penn State football program for good | PennLive.com:

This is extreme -- and I am for it! Penn State had the reputation of being above your average football program, "winning with honor," and shutting down the program would be to start playing hardball with these corrupt football programs (and basketball) across the country. Get colleges out of the prof sports recruiting business. Yes, time to shut down programs and replace them with intramural sports, kicking stars off the team (hear that, Oregon?), it is time to play hard ball.
