I watched the DOW drop almost 1000 pts on a split screen with Greece riots on the other half, all in less than an hour this morning. The DOW now is climbing back, down under 400 for the day -- but come on, is this any sane way to run an economy, having it so sensitive to riots across the sea? We've gotten so connected that anybody's screw up becomes everybody's downfall.
Interesting, however. For a moment it almost looked like film of the Russian revolution. That same sense of uncontrolled chaos, anger, futility, panic, everybody running around, currency instantly worthless.. Maybe the revolution will be televised after all.
In this zero sum universe, somebody somewhere right now better be writing one hell of a good symphony or something.
