Morning coffee

Morning coffee at Starbucks, which I haven't done in ages. Change of scenery. Gorgeous morning! I have a video shoot at 1pm that should last about an hour, for the review, and I did my prep work yesterday. Today I hope to catch up on yet another unfinished splay, see if I can wrap it up. Loose ends and such. Also I came up with another commercial splay idea I like. It's a fool's errand to chase these in a practical sense but on the other hand, screenwriting is the most fun writing there is and it's a healthy diversion. I could always do a second volume of "Movies They Should Have Made." This is a female-driven story, high concept, that actually is a variation on a student of mine's concept some 20 years ago, which I was sure he would sell. Shows you how wrong I am -- and it still hasn't been done. There must be reasons. Nonetheless, it would be fun to write and I may do it, more for this than for anything else. A fool's errand is a fool's errand is a fool's errand -- but there are other reasons than being a fool to do something.
