Favorite DJs

A DJ can make all the difference in a radio program. I used to be a regular listener of the Sunday morning Dixieland show hosted by "Dr. Jazz" until he passed away. None of his replacements has met the mark.

Here are some DJs I've looked forward to hearing over the years.

Jivin' Johnny Etheredge in Eugene, golden oldies & country classics. Found him on the dial in grad school, he is still playing the classics in Eugene. Became friends, indeed I dedicated my novel The Deadly Doowop to him. My fav, big time.


Here's Dr. Jazz, Bill Fetch:

I haven't heard him in a long time but through the 80s my favorite jazz DJ in town was Homer Clark.
