Worn out. Thank the gods tomorrow is Wednesday with nothing I must get done.
The History Channel started a new series tonight, Vietnam in HD, based largely on reprocessed home movies. It's quite good, though watching it makes me very sad and very angry. One great lesson of old age is the irrefutable understanding of human stupidity, how we learn nothing from history, how each generation reinvents the wheel. This, the forest. Among the trees, stories of individuals who refuse to follow the Plans of their Institutions. Groups behave more badly than individuals?
One wonders if this might be true: the more you can avoid human institutions, the greater your chances for a sane life.
