Plus and minus

Well, it was a good night in sum but the sound at the showing was atrocious. I've watched the film on 5 computers and 2 TVs and never had sound a fraction as bad. I think something in the host computer settings was askew because the balance was very weird, the background was actually magnified in comparison to the voice track. But the audience was gracious etc etc and the night is over. Alas, it didn't feel like a retirement party as I hoped it might.

But my spirits rose as soon as I came home and found a response in email from an actor friend on the east coast, who was in it:

"Bravo, maestro! A thousand laughs, a hundred ideas, a dozen twists of direction, amazing collection of actors."
