Except for minor flooding in the basement, we survived the storm, at least so far. I think the brunt is over but there's more rain forecast for today.
Storm leaves closed roads, outages in NW
PORTLAND, Ore. - Downed trees, mudslide-blocked roads and widespread power outages plagued the Northeast Tuesday, a day after the second of back-to-back storms moved out of region and left residents with a massive cleanup.
The storm that hit Monday smacked the region with hurricane-force winds and several inches of rain, and was blamed for four deaths in Oregon and Washington state. It came only a day after another severe system moved through Sunday. |
