Oregon track & field rundown: Would Steve Prefontaine have become a legend in an era with few college dual meets? | OregonLive.com:

I was in grad school during the Pre era and it was damn exciting. There are two films about his life, with different endings. Was he run off the road (the official family version)? Or was he speeding, the accident his own fault? From my observations of his driving and personality, I vote for the latter, less complimentary version.
