Over at Round Bend Press, publisher Terry Simons recalls some glory days of his Oregon football team and is excited about a new season in the fall. I used to share such expectations. But I think I've had it with Div I college football, just as I had it with professional football some years ago. The corruption and hype reach an extreme where the sport cannot be embraced. If I watch football at all in the fall, I'll follow PSU in the Big Sky or watch Div II teams. Bye, Div I football.
College basketball will be next. Money and media ruin everything.
