Uruguay stink

Still a lot of people upset by Uruguay's semi-final win after blatantly cheating to save Ghana's winning goal. But don't come down on Uruguay. As a matter of fact, the hand save well could have been an automatic physical response to the ball. Blame FIFA for its rules that did not count the goal, as basketball would have for goal tending. If the rules were fair, Ghana would have won and there'd be no controversy.

Fortunately, the Netherlands beat Uruguay and we can move on. But I must say, footbol has some strange rules. Offsides is another. So the opponent is racing with the ball, you beside him, no one else around -- if you slow down, that is give up, then he goes offside! That is ridiculous. Offside in soccer is a ridiculous offense. It encourages lack of aggressive competitiveness.
