This and that

Dinner last night with some of H's relatives passing through town on way to a cruise, including her 90+ favorite aunt. Went to an upper end restaurant we normally don't go to -- very spendy -- and had an excellent meal, though in truth I enjoyed my breakfast of scrapple and oatmeal more ha ha. At any rate, her cousin's husband, a few years older than I, a world traveling businessman, and I had a good conversation covering a broad range of topics. We both have been watching the World Cup. We both are rooting for the Netherlands against Brazil but already, less than 15 minutes into the game, it looks like no contest to me. Damn, "Brasil" is good!

H is off to spend time with them today but I'll stay home and do my thing.

I've made a major breakthrough in banjo this class, which makes practicing even more fun because I'm actually beginning to sound a little like a banjo player.
