No unsolicited submissions
Anyone doing independent marketing in the film or book industries often runs across the "no unsolicited submissions" tag. What is fascinating to me, as I wander around the Hollywood Creative Directory these past two days, is that producers of animation are much more open to "blind" contact than producers of features by a huge factor, say 50 times more. Why should this be so? Perhaps because far fewer screenwriters are writing scripts for animations. Which suggests to a new screenwriter, a great place to break in!
