I am a native Baumholderer, born in 1952. Your book was sent to me by a friend (Gail Winfree). And of course, I am fascinated.
In summer we have our opening of the new museum of Baumholder. And one of the main themes will be the “wild years of Baumholder”.
I have started some research according to your book. But it is difficult, because most people from that time have died meanwhile.
I have a few questions:
Are the persons in your book real? Nobody every heard of Gasthaus Konrad. Same is with the owner and his son. Only Isaak is a person that some people remember.
My question to you: Could you give me a more detailed description to the location of Gasthaus Konrad or even the real name of it?

Ah, the connections one can make via the Internet! Of course, I'm telling this guy the little I can remember. I told him he should display my book in the museum. I reminded him that in fiction we change the names to protect the innocent ha ha.
