Sports

I think it will be relatively easy to change my sports fan habits, giving up football and basketball, at least the major college teams, for small schools and sports like track and field, golf (enjoying the Masters today!), tennis, gymnastics, horse racing. And of course baseball, the single major professional sport that got it right by having its own farm system.

Most of all now, I look forward to the summer Olympics. And it's fun to have the Mariners in the strange territory of first place, though that may change on Monday when they play Texas.

Watching the Masters, I miss my late buddy Ger, a golfer, who always had interesting commentary along the way. He would have had much to say about the collapse of Tiger Woods since in Ger's view it's a game that is 75% mental.
