U.S. Falls In World Education Rankings, Rated 'Average'

U.S. Falls In World Education Rankings, Rated 'Average':

"America has received scores around 500 on a scale that goes up to 1,000: 487 in math, 500 in reading and 502 in science."

Absolutely appalling and why fixing this isn't a national emergency tells more than I want to know about our priorities. One problem is that far too many among us take the Bible literally and therefore believe extraordinary falsehoods about the origin of the planet. Here the failure of education has dire consequences in politics that affect all our lives. It's hard not to feel that we are doomed.
